Alyssa has recently taken a fancy to cooking. Today for lunch she made soup following her own recipe. The picture isn't a fabulous quality - I snuck up on her and had to take it real fast before she realized what I was doing. I took the picture just after she tested the soup - apparently we need to have a talk about double dipping. Oh, and the huge bag of dog food on the counter...that didn't make it into the soup. A big plastic tub to put dog food in is on our shopping list for today so I can stop pulling it out of the pantry every time we need to feed Sadie.

Oh Carrie! Your kitchen is so beautiful! And I can't believe how grown up Alyssa is getting!!! We have Bryant cooking dinner once a week now and Jonas is doing "cooking lessons" so he "can cook like Bryant." I love it!
I have to say, that picture is priceless! How fun that she's taking an interest in cooking--imagine all the fun ahead of you!
I love how she is on her tip toes while cooking! Its really cute!
